The CU-Boulder Parents Association
Parents and family are a vital part of the CU-Boulder community. The University of Colorado Parents Association (CUPA) is a volunteer organization dedicated to supporting programs and services that help enhance the undergraduate experience for students. Parents and guardians of all CU-Boulder students are eligible to become members, and there are no fees. CUPA sponsors a variety of excellent activities and programs that help bring parents, students, and the university together, including:
- FamilyWeekend—This event, held each fall, provides a great time for parents to visit with their student and tour the campus and the Boulder community.
- Orientation Dinners—Each summer these enjoyable and relaxing dinners acquaint parents of new students with CUPA, the Office of Parent Relations (OPR), and Division of Student Affairs staff.
- Freshman Scholarships and Continuing Student Scholarships—With the assistance of the CU Foundation’s Parent Fund and OPR, CUPA awards scholarships to freshmen and continuing students.
- Grants—CUPA annually provides grants to assist the university in enhancing the college experience of undergraduate students in such areas as safety, diversity, career services, community building, and civic engagement.
- Information and Referral—The Office of Parent Relations staff is available to answer parent questions and concerns, and help parents navigate the university system. For assistance, call 303-492-1380, e-mail parents@colorado.edu, or visit parents.colorado.edu.
